Art therapy treatment for Depression and Anxiety

Hello!

I find art therapy to be a versatile tool to help manage an array of symptoms/distress in a way that does not always require speaking. If it is not time to talk about something, but you do want to overcome distress or begin to change your mindset, we can find ways to make art about it. Art can be a powerful tool capable of manifesting dreams and confronting nightmares. You don’t have to be a Picasso or experienced with art to benefit from art therapy. Sometimes, the process of art making can be enough.

I work best with teens and young adults, and I have experience in helping to overcome symptoms stemming from anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief, nightmare distress, ADHD and more. I am passionate about DBT, Existential therapy, and Art Therapy due to the strong focus on mindfulness and nature of self-discovery. I find it important to highlight that the individual is the expert of their own life. I am here mainly to help ease the process of growth through building resilience, self-confidence/awareness, empowerment, time management, and self-care.
