 Hello! My name is Avery Lewis, I am a Limited License Counselor and a 2020 graduate of Siena Heights University, where I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Here at Liberty, I work with anyone ages 5+, but my greatest joy and talent is counseling children through the dynamic modality of play therapy. 

I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, abuse, self-esteem struggles, PTSD, gender identity/sexuality issues, and relationship issues. I am available for in-person or virtual sessions.

Professionally, I have experience working as a children's therapist in community mental health as well as working as a technician on an inpatient psychiatric unit, where I taught therapeutic groups and developed my skills in de-escalation and crisis intervention.

I strive to incorporate inclusivity, empathy, education, and empowerment into my therapeutic work. My motto for the clients I am privileged to work with is "Come as you are."
